The Ministry of tourism of the Government of India has established an Indian Institute of Tourism Travel and Management with the headquarter in Gwalior, and campuses in Bhubaneswar and New Delhi. They offer the following programs in 2007.
- 2 yr PGDM in Travel & Tourism at Gwalior & Bhubaneswar.
- 2 yr PGDM in International Business at Gwalior & Bhubaneswar.
- 2 yr PGDM in Leisure & Tourism at New Delhi.
The application form and prospectus are available in their web page. According to the prospectus:
The Govt. of India established the second centre of IITTM, namely Baji Rout Regional Centre for Eastern India at Bhubaneswar in 1996. The State Government has allotted five acres land in the city of Bhubaneswar and the Ministry of Tourism has sanctioned Rs. 10 crores for construction of the campus which is under progress.
I hope the state government will extend all help to this institute so that it can become a premier management school.

I was in the PGDTM 2004 batch…during our time the admission was based on written test conducted all over India in the major cities, follwed by a GD for the selected candidates and a interview..the admission was provisional for the appearing candidates, which was confirmed after the graduation marks were out.
Advertisements are released in all national dailies regarding admission…you can request for a form by post or can directly collect it…informations could also be available from IISWBM in kolkata…

IITTM is no dout the best Institute in Tourism sector , but the problem which i faced IITTM doesot provide serious prectical knowledge whichis required in any kind of managemrnt area
