Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar are possible candidates for BITS business school

Birla Institute of Technology and Science(BITS) based in Pilani(Rajasthan) has announced plans to set up elite management institutes on par with the IIMs in the next five years. "As of now, we have not given any concrete shape to our plan but we are targeting to set up full-fledged management institutes in the league of IIMs in another five years. Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar can be the possible locations for these management institutes as the chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Orissa have evinced a keen interest for these institutes", LK Maheshwari, vice-chancellor of BITS, Pilani told mediapersons.

As Hyderabad is already getting a BITS institute, let’s try to make sure that the elite institute comes to Bhubaneswar. As Birla has lot of busines interest in the state (in fact more than it has in Andhra), orissa deserves more than any other state when compared to others. orissa state govt should be aware that there is a possible competitor here and if it does not act proactive, it will loose this institute as well.

No place can develop until the Educational infrastructure is strong. Look at any developed city or country in the world you will find world class educational institutes there.
We should commend today’s CM to have the far sightedness and for all the steps he is taking to build in a platform which will create a worldclass civilizations for centuries to come.
Request to the CM: Ask all the Industries setting up shop in Orissa to adopt at least 2 primary schools and ensure proper functioning of the schols. Request all Large Industries to set up at least one Technical / management college.
Provide all possible support to Educational institutes who want to build a highly skilled talent pool here.
