		<description>This is good news. Just yesterday, I saw two newspaper reports that Odisha attracted he third highest investment (Rs. 30,913 crore, which is 10.9% of India's total)  in 2007-2008, after Gujarat (62,442 crore or 22%) and Maharashtra (36,202 or 12.7%).

By my calculations, on a per capita basis, Odisha received the second highest investment (Rs. 8421.57 per capita) after Gujarat (Rs. 12323.02 per capita). Odisha received 3.36 times the average Indian per capita investment. In other words, we are doing better than all other states, with the only exception of Gujarat. Not bad at all!
