The existing ship builders in India are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ABG Shipyard<\/li>\n<li>Pipavav Shipyard<\/li>\n<li>Bharati Shipyard<\/li>\n<li>Cochin Shipyard<\/li>\n<li>Hindustan Shipyard<\/li>\n<li>Alcock Ashdown<\/li>\n<li>Tebma Shipyard<\/li>\n<li>L &amp; T Hazira<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some of the new entrants are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ruia group<\/li>\n<li>Shipping corp. of India<\/li>\n<li>Mercator Mech Marine<\/li>\n<li>Goodearth maritime<\/li>\n<li>Adani group<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With respect to Orissa, Bharati shipyard together with Apeejay plan to have a shipyard in Dhamara. Following is a report in today&#8217;s Dharitri about the land acquisition effort for that.
