In particular the ST% of these six districts are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gajapati: 47.88%<\/li>\n<li>Koraput: 50.67%<\/li>\n<li>Malkangiri: 58.36%<\/li>\n<li>Nawarangpur: 55.27%<\/li>\n<li>Phulbani (Kandhamala): 51.51%<\/li>\n<li>Rayagada: 56.04%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The ST% of the other districts which we earlier identified as backward are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bolangir: 22.06%<\/li>\n<li>Boudh: 12.92%<\/li>\n<li>Kalahandi: 28.88%<\/li>\n<li>Keonjhar: 44.52%<\/li>\n<li>Mayurbhanj: 57.87%<\/li>\n<li>Nuapada: 35.95%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One other point to note is Sundergarh has 50.74% tribal population. Yet it is not a backward state. The reason is &quot;Rourkela&quot;.
