(488 kms)<\/li>\n<li><strong>  NH 5A<\/strong>:  Junction with NH No.5 near Haridaspur-<strong>Paradip<\/strong> <strong>Port<\/strong>.  (77 kms)<\/li>\n<li><strong>  NH 6<\/strong>:  <strong>From Chhattisgarh Border<\/strong>-Lobarchatti- <strong>Bargarh<\/strong>  &#8211; <strong>Sambalpur<\/strong>-Deogarh-Barakot- <strong>Kendujhargarh<\/strong> -Jashipur-<strong>Bangriposi<\/strong>-upto Jharkhand Border  (462 kms)<\/li>\n<li><strong>  NH 23<\/strong>:  From <strong>Jharkhand Border<\/strong>-Panposh-<strong>Raurkela<\/strong>&#8211; Rajamundra-Barakot- Pala Laharha-<strong>Talcher-Jn<\/strong>. with NH-42  (209 kms)<\/li>\n<li><strong>  NH 42<\/strong>:  <strong>Junction with NH No.6<\/strong> near <strong>Sambalpur<\/strong>&#8211; Redhakhol-Anugul-Dhenkanal- Jn. with <strong>NH-5<\/strong> near <strong>Cuttack<\/strong>.  (261 kms)<\/li>\n<li><strong>  NH 43<\/strong>:  <strong>From Chhattisgarh Border<\/strong>&#8211; Dhanpunji- Borigma- <strong>Jaypur<\/strong>&#8211;<strong>Koraput<\/strong>-Sunki- Andhra Pradesh Border.  (152 kms)<\/li>\n<li><strong>  NH 60<\/strong>:  From <strong>West Bengal Border<\/strong>&#8211; <strong>Jaleswar<\/strong> &#8211; <strong>Baleshwar<\/strong>  (57 kms)<\/li>\n<li><strong>  NH 75:<\/strong>  From Jharkhand Border to junction with NH No.215 near Parsora  (18 kms)<\/li>\n<li><strong>  NH 200<\/strong>:  From Chhattisgarh-Machida-<strong>Jharsuguda<\/strong>&#8211; Kochinda- Deogarh &#8211;<strong>Talcher<\/strong>-Kamakhyanagar-Sukinda- <strong>Chandhikhol<\/strong>  (440 kms)<\/li>\n<li><strong>  NH 201<\/strong>:  Boriguma-Ampani-<strong>Bhawanipatna<\/strong>&#8211; Belgan- Balangir-Luisinga-Jogisuruda-Dunguripali-<strong>Bargarh<\/strong>  (310 kms)<\/li>\n<li><strong>  NH 203<\/strong>:  <strong>Bhubaneshwar<\/strong>-Pipili-<strong>Puri<\/strong>&#8211;<strong>Konark<\/strong>  (97 kms)<\/li>\n<li><strong>  NH 203A<\/strong>:  The highway starting from its junction with <strong>NH-203 at Puri<\/strong>, connecting Bramhagiri and terminating at <strong>Satpada<\/strong>  (49 kms)<\/li>\n<li><strong>  NH 215<\/strong>:  <strong>Panikoli<\/strong>-Anandapur-Ghatgan- <strong>Kendujhargarh<\/strong>&#8211; Parsora-Koira-Rajamundra  (348 kms)<\/li>\n<li><strong>  NH 217<\/strong>:  From Chhattisgarh Border-<strong>Nauparha<\/strong>-Khariar- <strong>Titlagarh<\/strong>-Belgan- Ramapur- Baligurha-Sorada-Asika- <strong>Brahmapur<\/strong>&#8211; Narendrapur- Gopalpur  (438 kms)<\/li>\n<li><strong>  NH 224<\/strong>:  <strong>Khordha<\/strong>-Nayagarh-Dashapalla- Purunakatak-Bauda-Sonapur-<strong>Balangir<\/strong>  (298 kms)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Vijaywada-Ranchi highway (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraphindia.com\/1060531\/asp\/jamshedpur\/story_6291757.asp\">approved by planning commission as reported in May 2006<\/a>), [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.zeenews.com\/znnew\/articles.asp?aid=309907&amp;sid=REG\">July 06<\/a>] [The Orissa government has been demanding a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.business-standard.com\/common\/storypage.php?storyflag=y&amp;leftnm=lmnu2&amp;leftindx=2&amp;lselect=1&amp;chklogin=N&amp;autono=190375\">NH from Vijaywada to Ranchi<\/a> which will pass through the Naxal infested areas. 1200 km of this 2000km will be in Orissa. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baral.us\/orissa\/pdf\/2005-aug30-statesman.pdf\"> CM talked to planning comission about it.<\/a>]<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/morth.nic.in\/ongoingproj\/orissa.htm\">Ongoing National Highway work in Orissa<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Future plans for Orissa: <a href=\"http:\/\/pib.nic.in\/release\/release.asp?relid=8879\">[1:april-28-05]<\/a>; <a href=\"http:\/\/rc.orissa.gov.in\/index3.asp?linkid=30&amp;sublinkid=97\">[2:april-28-05]<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Various phases of NHDP: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.embassyofindia.com\/12_IndiaNewsDecember2004\/page6.html\">[1]<\/a>; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crisil.com\/india-budget-analysis-2005\/industry\/post-roads.html\">[2]<\/a>; <a href=\"http:\/\/morth.nic.in\/OngoingNHworks_NHDP.htm\">[3]<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Other highway plans:\n<ul>\n<li>4 laning of Chandikhol-Paradip  by February-end of 2007<\/li>\n<li>4 laning of Keonjhar-Panikoili, Duburi-Talcher, Cuttack-Paradeep and Duburi-Keonjhar Highways. [June17-05-Pragativadi]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Aim-for-with-high-priority\/parts-of-it-in-Orissa-govt- <a href=\"http:\/\/orissagov.nic.in\/p&amp;c\/eco2004\/PDF\/eco-12.pdf\">plan(page4)<\/a>-already:\n<ul>\n<li>Connect NH 215 (perhaps at Jajpur Rd) to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.orissa.net\/links\/DistrictInfo\/Jajpur.asp\">Jenapur<\/a> to NH200 (where it meets Brahmani) with a highway as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.orissa.net\/links\/DistrictInfo\/Jajpur.asp\">Jenapur<\/a> is the location where the National waterway will cross the railway line and Jenapur is 7 kms from where a branch of the line goes to Daitari and Bansapani.<\/li>\n<li>Designate AP-border-Koraput-Raygada-Padampur- Berhampur (in NH5) as a National highway. (This will bring Koraput and Raygada, thus a big part of KBK, closer to BBSR) &#8212; a slight revision of what is in the plan<\/li>\n<li>Designate Anandpur (NH 215)-Bhadrak-Dhamara port as an NH. (This will bring Dhamara port closer to Jharkhand, thus helping industries in Jharkhand and Orissa.)<\/li>\n<li>Jagatpur-Kendrapara-Chandbali-Dhamara &#8212; make it an NH (alternative route to Dhamara port)<\/li>\n<li>Panikoili\/Kuakhia-Jajpur-Aradi-Chandabali &#8212; make it an NH (alternative route to Dhamara port)<\/li>\n<li>Panikoili-Jajpur-Kendrapara-NH5a-Paradeep &#8212; make it an NH (alternative to Paradeep port)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/164.100.140.5\/osrtc\/index.asp\">Orissa State Road Transport Company (OSRTC)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Wide city roads:\n<ul>\n<li>Four-laning of the Airport-Dhamana Chhaka road in Bhubaneswar: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baral.us\/orissa\/pdf\/2005-aug26-sambada.pdf\">[1]<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Other Bhubaneswar Road plans: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baral.us\/orissa\/pdf\/2005-sept7-pragativadi.pdf\">[1]<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baral.us\/orissa\/pdf\/2005-oct11-sambada2.pdf\">[2]<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Bhubaneswar area road plans:\n<ul>\n<li>Being pursued: BBSR-Barang-Khuntuni-NH42; alternate route to Bhubaneswar-Cuttack via Barang; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.financialexpress.com\/fe_full_story.php?content_id=130601\">Khurda-Cuttack bypass via Pitapalli; Bhubaneswar (Uttara chhack) to Paradeep highway<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/wikimapia.org\/#y=20197778&amp;x=85859726&amp;z=18&amp;l=0&amp;m=a\">Uttara chhack map<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Should be pursued: Bhubaneswar-Khurda Rd station (already some Puri-Adi trains bypass Bhubaneswar. So Khurda Rd could be an alternative reliever station for Bhubaneswar.
