It seems the Govt. of Orissa is encouraging Engg. colleges in the coastal belt only.Out of 30 districts of the state 14 districts do not have any Engg. college.40% of total Engg. colleges of the state are located in the state capital only.
Why can’t we encourage Engg. colleges to come up in all districts of the state particularly Kalahandi, Balangir,Phulbani and Jharsuguda?
The districts not having any Engg. college are Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Nuapara, Balangir, Phulbani, Bauda, Sonapur, Nayagarh, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsingpur, Deogarh and Jharsuguda.
Orissa will be proud of her development only by allowing growth in all parts but not merely focusing on coastal belt.

I don’t think Orissa govt. has much role in this. Now a days AICTE does not even need a No Objection Letter from the state government. What Orissa govt. can do is to open govt. engineering colleges in some the areas you mention.

It is the Govt. policies which finally matter to attract private entrepreneurs investing on private Engg. colleges or Universities in the state.
90% of Orissa’s Universities are located in the coastal belt.60% only in the state capital.
Everyone knows BPUT-Rourkela functioning at Bhubaneswar for all purpose since its inception.
World class Universities can well be planned and developed with all infrastructure on the huge barren lands available in the western Orissa only with the patronage of the Govt.
One University of world class becomes a magnet to attract many Engg. colleges/institutes of higher learning in the region.
To make Orissa shining we need to have long term development plan perspective of the entire state not confining to coastal belt only.

Many many thanks to Govt. of orissa promoting engineering colleges in orissa.
It is better to guide line a plane to set up colleges in orissa,in various districts .
There no colleges in Kendrapara district,in this state simultaionusly to promte TURISM as well as EDUCATION, is detterment of the society.
I am planning to open Engineering colleges in KENDRAPARA very soon.near DHURIA.

I think that this is a good idea because now a days in all over world more and more Engineers demanded.your thinking is well but before opening the college at first you decide that where will your students will stay from out sider,you think about your campus that how large is your campus and so many thing which is required for a good engineering college.THANKS.
