  what the hell has happened to tech colleges survey commities .i don’t think N.I.T.R being placed lower than any other N.I.T.s.i think N.I.T.R has got some of the best infrastructure in INDIA & it also has got the best faculties in INDIA.if anyone don’t think so then go and have a look.

  N.I.T. R is organizing a book fair for it’s student .N.I.T.R has really gone upto certain level .so N.I.T.R is evolving as a brand besides IITs.

  For all of you laughing at VIT,well time to swallow the bitter truth that yes a private engineering college has risen above NIT’s..and for all of you who don’t know,VIT has had exceptional placements this year(Despite the recession)..not just IT companies but several core companies which have not visted the NITs(swallow again!) have come to VIT…A reputation needs a lot of hard work,inputs in the terms of academics as well as infrastructure..maybe the NIT’s need to brush up and catch up instead of resting on past laurels???And for the others commenting..please check the statistics before saying it’s all a money game…anyhow you are all entitled to your opinions!PeaceAll!:)

  I am a 2009 pass out from CSE-VIT. Currently I am having job offers from General Electric, Cisco and TCS. VIT deserves the rank it got and its time for everyone to awallow that just a ‘sarkaari’ tag after ur college wont come to ur rescue ever in your competitive career…

  I got AIR 27982 (OBC rank 5515) in AIEEE 2009 exam.My state rank is 4400 (OBC 1134) of Andhra pradesh. Please suggest me the best NIT or IIIT college for ECE course. What about the BTech(IT)+MBA Integ. course in AB Vajpayee IIITM,Gwalior (M.P)? How is the IIITM Gwalior in placements of engineering

  wel wtva! bein a passout frm VIT all i kno is it is still an underachievin institution. The tremendous potential isnt still tapped, for tht some of the idiots at the top needs to be sacked and lot of the acamedic decisions need to be reviewed n replaced by more intelligent ones. certain things frustrate u the core. the reforms at the top hasn reached the ‘teacher to student’ level Please post your comments in regular English.   I think the ranking is totally fake with regard to the NIT’s.NIT Trichy shall be ranked first and NIT Calicut the second,since being the most recent ranking of NITs in india.

  all the people here lobbying for NIT and VIT know what is the truth, i know what is VIT vellore showing that TCS like company took some 300 or 400 students in tandem doesnot gurantee u good period at recession.Everyone knows pvt colleges pay for placements to company and apart from that i know what all condition VIT is having ,showing off in infrastructure doesnt show quality you must realize that.NIT are always way ahead from them and that is a fact and about ranking by india today its all crap as the more you pay them better will be your rank.Thats evident because i have never seen india today survey team etc visiting campuses for getting facts and also this year ranking we saw new colleges whose background is very bad in top ranking despite lacking all basic requirements of becoming a top institute.

  The truth remains, a college which ws placed at 43 in the last yr suddenly comes above premiere institutes like NIT Warangal is laughable!! And a word 2 the wise VITian girl, no need 2 tell how gud VIT is, the kindof students studying in VIT stand nowhere when face NITs and IIiTs. So stop being excited by the rankings and face the fact that itz money game and that’s it.

  wat r vit n jadavpur doing so high in da rankings???

  i personally had da xperience of visiting VIT n interacting wid sum studnts n teachers………sum teachers wer just MTech passouts……most of da students wer dose who cud not make it 2 IITs n NITs…..all VIT has is a good-looking campus……..it severely lacks in human resources……………it’s NOTHING compared 2 most NITs

  jadavpur has good faculty n infrastructure……..but da work culture is missing…..dere is severe politics……….several unions vie wid each other 2 recruit freshers……..inter-union violence is quite common, upsetting academic schedules…..many of da faculty dont teach in JU but in private colleges on kolkata on a part-tym basis, giving dere scheduled JU classes a miss……….elections r quite violent …booth capturing, bashing up rival candidates n voters…..posters competing 4 wall space..is this an educational institution or a political battleground in a naxalite region??

  no need to comment anything on the ranking, just recommend people to visit this site and India today will automaticaly pay for it, guys just think that NIT trichy and warangal admits student who get ranks under 5000 in AIEEE , compare from VIT, ask the students of VIT if they would had got an oppertunity to get admitted in NIT trichy or warangal, which they would had opted?
  its true that IITs are the best but top 4 NITs are not a bit less than them..
